  1. Deny this is a good start, but I have a few questions. . Do you really want the classrooms next to the kitchen? The gift shop might be better located closer to the entry/ exit of the building.
Also what is the purpose of the gallery. may be it would be nice to see the exhibit after you enter the building? Or if it is more private, it could be close to the student lounge.

  2. I like where this is going, nice work so far and am looking forward to seeing it when its done. As you begin to develop your project continue adding more detail to this diagram. For example, where you have yes/no start adding information such as what kind of special equipment, what plumbing you are providing, or how specifically you are addressing the daylight or views requirement (what device/system? what views? type of light?...). Also, I don't understand the "adjacencies" column, isn't this what is shown on the left half of the diagram - please clarify.

  3. Nice work!
I suggest that you take this diagram and the bubbles diagram and work it out together. That way you will find the right balance between the importance of the specific functions and sectors and how many users/visitors you have so that you can dimension the space properly.
Keep up with the good work!

  4. Hi Deny
    Some suggestions:

    Access to exterior?
    More differentiation of storage areas?
what about academic offices, management spaces, service areas?
Grouping of logically related functions in the matrix?
Look again at need for mechanical ventilation requirements
Local laws etc related to fire escape?
    Delivery areas?

Remember that you are not just designing a civic sculpture but a working building which is beautiful down to the last screw in the glazing bars.
